It’s always refreshing to have an easy night in the middle of a busy stretch.

September 24th – Great British Pub of the Year Awards (Private Event)

A total shift in vibe — no guitars, no drums, just speeches, applause, and the clink of glasses.

The Pub Awards turned the arena into a corporate gala. Rows of tables, chandeliers hung low, and the scent of roast dinners instead of smoke machines.

Different kind of mess, but still a fun one to tidy.

September 26th – Simply Red (Music)

Back to live music again. Simply Red filled the place with nostalgia — silky smooth vocals and an audience who knew every lyric.

It felt timeless, like the kind of show you could’ve seen 30 years ago or next week and it’d still hit the same.

September 27th & 28th – McFly vs. Busted

Two nights of pure throwback chaos.

Night one was a mix of screaming fans, confetti storms, and guitars that didn’t quit until midnight.

Unfortunately, I missed night two after going off sick — frustrating, but sometimes your body calls the shots.

September 30th – Digital Careers Fair (Private)

The month wrapped with something completely different — the Digital Careers Fair.

No music, no lighting rigs, just banners, booths, and a lot of laptops.

It’s amazing seeing how fast the arena transforms from stage to workspace overnight.

Final Thoughts

September was a reminder of how unpredictable this job is.
