An Exciting Journey: A Look Back at My First Six Months of 2024 at Leeds Arena

It’s been a truly memorable first six months of 2024 for me working at the Leeds arena. The year kicked off with the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Glow Party on the 13th and 14th of January and a rousing Misfits boxing event on the 20th. I then had the thrill of working the Netball Nations Cup on the 27th and 28th. February was equally exciting with the BBC Strictly Dancing on the 1st and 2nd, the Apprentice Recruitment Fair on the 5th, and performances by Enter Shikari on the 9th, Noah Kahan and Bill Bailey on the 11th. I also had a Health and Safety training on the 20th, then a performance by Rick Astley on the 24th, and finished off the month with Disney on Ice running from the 29th of February to the 3rd of March. March began with more Disney on Ice from the 1st to the 3rd, followed by a performance by OMD on the 5th, Ne Yo on the 8th, Jason Derulo on the 9th, and the metal titans Judas Priest on the 13th. I also worked for Simple Minds on the 15th, Peter Kay on the 22nd, Marti Pellow on the 23rd, Pendulum on the 24th, and James Blunt on the 30th. April was a whirlwind with Cirque Du Soleil from the 4th to the 7th, UB40 FT Ali on the 9th, Europe’s Strong Man on the 13th, and Take That’s first Leeds tour from the 17th to the 20th. I also worked for Lil Tjay, who was a new discovery for me, on the 26th. May kicked off with Kene on the 3rd, followed by ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ on the 4th, darts on Sky TV on the 9th, and the Corporate 10 10 staff event on the 10th. Tenacious D and Elbow Music were on the 11th and 12th, Andre Rieu on the 16th, and a DNZA Matchroom boxing event on the 25th. It’s been an eventful and vibrant first half of 2024, and I’m looking forward to what the next six months have in store!
