Who remembers this keyboard Logitech ultra thin keyboard case for the iPad 2nd generation? And if your on a budget and don’t want to spend loads of money on the official Smart Keyboard from apple then this is in my opinion the better option for you, below i will goo through the ins and outs of why i think this keyboard is the best for you I use this keyboard for various tasks from blogging to office documents to emails, This keyboard saves me carrying around my late 2009 MacBook Pro 13” and in weight the iPad with this keyboard is a lot lighter than my MacBook Pro Good and bad things about the keyboard are as follows:

iPad only function row	No trackpad but that’s no issue for me as i use a Bluetooth mouse
Auto wake and sleep of the keyboard and iPad	uses micro usb to charge no USB C cable but no bother to me as i carry a 3 in 1 charging wire
Apple Pencil Generation 1 holder	Bluetooth has to be on in order for the keyboard to work unlike the Logitech combo touch that uses the iPad Smart Connection dots that are on the bottom of the iPad and doesn’t require a charge to work
Ultra slim with a weight of 0.7 pounds and a thickness of 1.5 cm
Uses the same shortcuts that you are used to if you own any of the mac desktops / laptops by pressing the CMD key first
The keyboard has a battery status key that’s only operational through the FN the the right CMD key, I don’t know of the top of my head but i think each flash of green is 25% and the keyboard is flashing 4 times
What i would class as the ESC button on a non iPad external keyboard on this keyboard a home button so you don’t have to reach for the screen to go home, also if you don’t want to press the ESC/Home button you can use the CMD+H shortcut
Compared to the official Apple Smart Keyboard this keyboard has a back cover to protect the back of your iPad
