February was a particularly busy month. The excitement began on the 1st and 2nd with the dazzling spectacle of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Being behind the scenes of such a glamorous event was simply surreal. The arena was brimming with sequins, high energy dance routines, and the mesmerising performances left an air of enchantment hanging in the corridors long after the audience had left.
Just a few days later, on the 5th, the arena transformed into a hive of activity for the Apprentice Recruitment Fair. The energy was palpable as eager candidates navigated the bustling event, and I was proud to contribute to creating a professional and welcoming environment for potential future stars of the business world.
The 9th saw the arrival of Enter Shikari, and the arena echoed with the sounds of their electrifying music. Then, on the 11th, Noah Kahan took the stage, his soulful melodies adding a touch of serenity to the arena.
The 18th brought a change of pace with the hilarious Bill Bailey performing. The laughter ringing through the arena was a refreshing and enjoyable change from the usual concert uproar.
On the 20th, we did some AD Hoc Health & Safety training. This was a crucial part of ensuring we maintained a safe, efficient work environment, especially considering the variety of events we cater to.
On the 24th, the arena was filled with nostalgia as Rick Astley took to the stage. The familiar tunes had everyone, even us in the cleaning crew, humming along.
February ended on a magical note with Disney on Ice from the 29th of February to the 3rd of March. The opportunity to witness the delight on the faces of families as they watched their favourite Disney characters glide across the ice was a heartwarming experience.
